Steve Rosendale is a contemporary artist based in Melbourne. His practice sees film and still images expanded into lucid, hyper-realistic works, cut with suspense, intrigue and glamour. These depictions of Hollywood and popular culture resonate powerfully in their atmosphere and narrative. Rosendale has been described as "the master of cinematic subterfuge", was a finalist in the Doug Moran Portrait Prize and continues to be collected and exhibited widely.
