Across the surface, Baird incorporates collaged fabric elements, introducing a pronounced tactile quality that reinforces the materiality of the work. By deliberately conflating foreground and background, he creates a subtle visual instability, infusing the composition with a dreamlike sense of surreality.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eBaird has exhibited extensively in both solo and group exhibitions around Australia, and his work is held in major national collections including the National Gallery of Victoria, Castlemaine Art Gallery and Historical Museum, and Artbank.
