Michael Leunig was an iconic Australian cartoonist, writer, painter, philosopher and poet, best known for his cartoons published in the Sydney Morning Herald and The Age over 55 years. Spanning the political, cultural and philosophical, his visual world was one of whimsy, wit and deep humanity.

Untitled (Tulip Mania) is a rare original etching. In lilac hues, Leunig envisions his quintessential protagonist sitting at a table arranging a bouquet of tulips. Charming and joyous, this work is an ode to the quiet, beautiful moments that shape everyday life.

As special as it is rare, Untitled (Tulip Mania) is hand-signed by the artist and comes from the Leunig family's private collection.
