Dolly Mills, part of language group Anmatyerre and hailing from Alhalkere, Utopia Region, is one of Australia’s leading Aboriginal artists. Her work depicts Yam Dreamings and Emu Tucker – delicate patterns and subtle palettes that speak to her Country.
Mills is the sister of acclaimed artist Greeny Purvis Petyarra, and participated in the ‘Utopia a picture story 88 silk batiks’, Robert Holmes a Court collection. For collectors of contemporary and Aboriginal art, her dot paintings are a mesmerising find.
