Alun Leach-Jones was among the artist’s christened at the landmark 1968 ‘The Field' exhibition. Known for his gentle disposition and meticulous hand, he helped shift Australian art history, pioneering hard-edge abstraction.

While this work is decidedly abstract, it is not without meaning. Instead, inspired by philosophy, music and poetry, Leach-Jones’s configurations are a dance of aesthetic possibilities.

One of Australia’s leading abstractionists, his work is represented in numerous public collections here and overseas, including the Museum of Modern Art and the Guggenheim in New York. For connoisseurs of abstract art, Leach-Jones is a must.
