Judi Singleton

B. 1963

Judi Singleton was one of the founding members of Melbourne’s Roar Studios, an early artist-run-initiative. Between 1982 and 2000, she and artists like David Larwill, Mark Schaller and Pasquale Giardino produced work that acted as a proverbial roar against the art establishment, imagining a new model for exhibiting and sharing art.

Singleton’s work is represented at the National Gallery of Australia, Artbank and Parliament House. She won the Shepparton Art Gallery Ceramics Prize in 1991 and 1992, and the Sorrento Religious Art Prize in 2000.
