Kym Hart
B. 1965
Kym Hart, the second eldest son of legendary Australian artist Pro Hart, grew up with the influence of his father’s bustling home and studio in Broken Hill. Favouring a vibrant colour palette, Hart’s medium of choice is oil painting while also including gouache, watercolour, and printmaking.
Many of Kym Hart’s paintings take their inspiration from the natural environment and industrial impact on the landscape surrounding Broken Hill, with recurrent motifs of dragonflies, billabong scenes and seascapes. Hart’s work carries on the legacy of his father’s bold artistic style, and his work is in numerous private collections throughout the world.
