About Us
Based on Gertrude Street in Melbourne’s Fitzroy, Art & Collectors connects collectors with art they love.
Off the street and up a flight of stairs, our gallery space celebrates the unique architecture and streetscape of the area’s iconic terrace buildings, while recalling the elegance of twentieth-century European salons. With soaring ceilings and refined proportions, the setting lends itself to an evolving presentation of collectible Australian modern and contemporary art — works chosen for their collectability, cultural significance, and their long-term value.
Through our established network of collectors and vendors, both locally and internationally, we maintain an expansive physical and virtual stockroom. This ensures we can respond to the diverse interests of collectors, providing access to exceptional works and tailored Collection Services. By combining a strong sense of place and history with forward-looking market expertise, we offer a trusted environment for building and enhancing collections of lasting importance.
Art & Collectors is founded on the belief that art lives on through those who collect it. Since 2001, we have guided art lovers in becoming custodians of fine art, building connections founded on trust and enduring relationships. We seek out artworks for the internal narratives and stories they tell, championing serendipity, discovery, and sustainable collecting, while nurturing the bond between art and collector.
Led by Director Angela Tandori, our small but dedicated team combines industry expertise with a highly personalised approach, providing each client with thoughtful guidance and tailored support in building, managing, and enhancing their collection.
Whether you are an emerging or seasoned collector, in Melbourne or beyond, we provide expert guidance to assist you to expand, refine, and manage your collection.

Our History
Art & Collectors began as Angela Tandori Fine Art in 2001. Originally a roving auction house traveling between coastal Noosa, inland Canberra, and Lorne in Victoria, we eventually established a home in a Prahran mansion. From there, the gallery migrated to East Melbourne and later to Collingwood’s Smith Street. In 2021, amidst the challenges of COVID, the team undertook a strategic rebrand to become Art & Collectors, coinciding with our final move, and current home, to Fitzroy’s vibrant Gertrude Street.
