In 'Dream Image', Charles Blackman teases out the space between dreams. This work draws you into a tranquil inner world where figure, memory, and colour intermingle. Through layered gentle abstraction and protective blues, Blackman captures the tender and elusive qualities of dreaming.

After being hospitalized in the early 1960s, Barbara Blackman began knitting a quilt that with each square, asserted her tenacity in the face of failing eyesight, immobility and life with three young children. Here, with unsparing awe Charles pays homage to her - finding Barbara safe beneath her quilt as she ventures into the world of dreams. This portrait aches of the reverence and devotion we have for those we love.

This limited-edition pigment print is initialed by the artist, blind-embossed with the Blackman seal, produced on museum-grade materials, and accompanied by a Letter of Authenticity.

Living with the powerful imagery of one of Australia's most beloved and collected artists Charles Blackman, promises to be an experience you and your family will treasure.
