In this original screenprint, Charles Blackman envisions a nude figure. She is illuminated by the light of the moon, an opalescent figure in depths of the garden. Refined in palette and form, there is a sense of mystery and romance to Blackman’s composition as though we have stumbled into a secret garden.
For collectors of Blackman, prints and the nude, this work is a beguiling find.
