The Muse drawings were sketched during the Blackman familys time spent living in Paris - a time of great creative development for Charles, whose international career was well under way. According to his eldest son Auguste, Charles met these model muses during his residency at the Cite des Artes, where Charles was awarded a studio in 1970 to 1971, and one of the main reasons the Blackman family packed up and went to live in Paris for a year.
From the Blackman family's private collection to yours - this exquisite drawing is sure to be treasured for years to come.
