In 'Pyrophyte I', an original lithograph, Danielle Creenaune expresses the feeling of a place over its exactness. It recalls Japanese ink drawing, depicting a type of plant that has adapted to tolerate fire. Blackened yet standing, Creenaune’s tree is an impression of nature, how it rebirths after destruction.

Creenaune is a highly accomplished printmaker. In 2015, she represented Australia at the International Print Triennial Krakow and is represented at the National Gallery of Australia. Gestural, poetic and impactful, 'Pyrophyte I' is a striking find for collectors of contemporary prints.
