Moya Delany is a Melbourne-based contemporary artist working across multiple disciplines. Renowned for her photographed and sculptural assemblages, she transforms collected objects into visual poetry, creating works that feel both deeply personal and subtly dark in tone.
Her 2025 work 'This is Us' presents a carefully composed still life of unexpected pairings: a ginger-flavoured brandy bottle repurposed as a vase, and a small leather case serving as a plinth. In this photographic work, Delany introduces a wry, self-reflective humour - most notably through the inclusion of a detached camera lens and filter, which become central focal points. As with much of her practice, the minimal assemblage carries a quiet but potent sense of personal significance.
Delany’s work has been exhibited widely across Australia and internationally, with her sculptural pieces shortlisted for numerous awards. For collectors of contemporary Australian art, her practice offers a compelling and distinctive perspective.
