Gail English is inspired by the palette of nature: the pale ochres of paddocks, grey slicks of sky, pink hilltops, orange dust and burnt stubble. She started painting professionally in her fifties, before leaving Sydney for a barn on the mid-north coast of New South Wales. The sea-change felt right - a return to Englishs childhood spent on a property near Young. In 2008, she won the Country Energy Prize for landscape.
This loyal scene by fine Australian artist Gail English is sure to bring heart to your home.
