A former actress turned artist, Marina Finley’s vision is as intriguing as it is distinctive. In this work, she captures two toy horses at Sydney’s Bondi Beach. Textured, richly coloured and slightly strange, ‘Playground By The Sea’ is for Sydney-siders or collectors of contemporary, unique landscapes.
For many years, Finley was a model and friend of artists Charles Blackman and Judy Cassab. She performed on television shows The Young Doctors, Taurus Rising and Sons and Daughters, before turning to visual art. As an artist, she has fast gained traction, becoming a finalist in the Archibald and Portia Geach Prizes and exhibiting widely.
This work is a wonderful find for budding art buyers, seasoned connoisseurs of graphic arts, and dedicated collectors of works by women artists.
