Elizabeth Ginsberg’s images are harmonies of form. Working across digital printmaking, screenprinting, painting, drawing and artist books, she explores the interplay of textures and colour. This 1985 watercolour is reminiscent of a fabric swatch – swathes of cut material overlying one another, ideas on a seamstress’s sewing table.

Ginsberg is an American artist. She studied and later taught at the Rhode School of Design, has exhibited internationally and received grants to practise in Japan, Peru and Italy. Represented in public, private and museum collections, Ginsberg’s two-dimensional bricolages are triumphs in form, colour and simplicity. For collectors of abstraction, ‘Untitled’ is a sterling find.
