Kate Hudson’s intricate woodblock prints are informed by Japanese woodblock printing, Art Nouveau, Margaret Preston, and the Arts & Crafts Movement. In ‘Lilies and Camellias’, a black and white patterned vase, flattened flowers moving between the vase and tablecloth, reminiscent of Margaret Preston.
Hudson is represented across public and private collections, including the Australian Print Workshop, City of Darebin, Geelong Gallery and National Gallery of Australia. For collectors of prints, she is a beautiful find.
