With an art practice spanning more than fifty years, Shane Jones is renowned for his evocative and detailed oil paintings. Partially based in Ballarat, but originally from the seaside suburb of Mordialloc, Jones draws deeply on his relationship with and sensitivity to the Australian landscape, translating his observations of the land into atmospheric scenes.
