‘White Blasted Trees’ is impossibly bright. Tim Jones’s paints bright white trees against an electric blue background, like a cave painting found in outer space.

Jones is an established wood-engraver, sculptor and artist. He has exhibited across the National Gallery of Victoria, Mornington Peninsula Gallery and Deakin University. In his work, Jones captures the essence of solitary thought – mystery and illusion abounds. There is almost an eerie quality, reminiscent of the untouched landscapes he inhabited as a boy in Celtic Wales.

For collectors of paintings and contemporary Australian art, ‘White Blasted Trees’ is a miraculous find.
