Helen Kennedy’s work is not about the landscape, but our experience of it. Suffused in light – the amber of glow or twilight, silvery tendrils of moonlight – she takes the viewer on a walk. ‘Boyd’s World’ sees a beach burning orange, static-like sand giving way to a limitless ocean.
Kennedy is an accomplished artist. She is represented across public collections, including at the Art Gallery of New South Wales and National Gallery of Victoria. For collectors of landscape art, she is an intoxicating find.
