A 60s comic book style hooded batman, grimaces with scorn toward a shocked Robin, slapped back to common sense. The panel originating from Worlds Finest #153, depicts an alternate universe story where Batman is convinced that Superman murdered his dad.
“You must be wrong, Batman,” Robin insists, “It couldn’t have been Superboy! He could never ... kill anyone!”
"Dont Tell me I'm wrong, you brat ... proving Superman's guilt is my whole mission in life!"
Like a Roy Lichtenstein painting, the image first went meme, when each speech bubble text was changed to have Robin ask Batman what his parents got him for Christmas. To which Batman responds with a slap while yelling "my parents are dead!!"
Spawning Macro Generators, the template now boasts many speech text variations. Here though, as a painting the speech bubbles fade, the slap blurs to a whack. A meme impressioned in paint, the humor of Batmans junior crime-fighting partner inverted to a villain, can now be enjoyed on a wall.
