Alun Leach-Jones was among the artists christened at the landmark 1968 exhibition, ‘The Field’ at the National Gallery of Australia. After a fruitful life both here and overseas, Alun’s work still rings of poetry. Known for his gentle disposition and meticulous hand, Alun was among the artists who with a hard edge - shifted the course of Australian art history. In the Music of Colours II, he finds prose in line and shape, composing a visual melody that must be seen to be heard.
