Alun Leach-Jones was among the artists christened by the landmark 1968 exhibition The Field. Known for his gentle disposition and meticulous hand, he helped shift Australian art history, pioneering hard-edge abstraction.

While this work is decidedly abstract, it is not without meaning. Instead, inspired by philosophy, music and poetry, Leach-Joness configurations are a dance of aesthetic possibilities.

One of Australias leading abstractionists, his work is represented in numerous public collections here and overseas, including the Museum of Modern Art and the Guggenheim in New York. For connoisseurs of abstract art, Leach-Jones is a must.
