Jeffrey Makin, one of Australia’s most distinguished artists, presents a portrait of Selby. The work is warm and intimate, a sketch rendered as an etching. Lovingly, Makin has even captured the owls upon his subject’s jacket – merrily blinking at the viewer.

Makin is heir to the Heidelberg School, represented in all state collections as well as numerous regional and corporate collections. For collectors of portraits, ‘Selby’ is a beautiful find.
