Jennifer Marshall’s practice is akin to improvisation. Taking inspiration from the masters of art history, as well as her surrounding world, she uses subject matter as only a starting point – revelling most keenly in the twists and turns creation takes.
‘Object Drawing - IX/5’ is an elegant and minimal work. An arm reaches out with an artichoke, a surprisingly sculptural configuration. With a long and illustrious career, Marshall is an intriguing find for collectors of contemporary prints.
