Adam Nudelman’s work deploys an unusual poetry. His style is refined yet methodical, deliberate compositions that while of this world, are imbued with mystery. Perhaps a single lemon wedge teeters on a precipice, a hat lies prone on a couch, a paper crane looks quizzical or light bursts over an empty horizon.

Nudelman employs the painting techniques of the Renaissance Masters to forge distinctly contemporary imagery. Evoking ideas around culture heritage, displacement and alienation, he is represented at the National Museum, Canberra, The Australian Jewish Museum, Melbourne, and LaTrobe University, among others.

Nudelman’s work, profound in its quiet grace, will enrich collections of landscape art and still lifes.
