Ian Parry has been described as a restless investigator. Refusing a single style or medium, his practice is engaged in constant evolution — testing the borderland between the freedom of the abstract and disciplines of landscape painting.
In ‘Untitled [Aerial View]’ this borderland is tested. Parry envisions a landscape from above, its formations turned abstract beneath the unfamiliar vantage point. The result is elegant and rhythmic, a musical topography.
Parry is an acclaimed artist. He has won numerous awards and is represented at the National Gallery of Australia. He continues to exhibit widely to wide praise. For collectors of prints and abstract art, behold ‘Untitled [Aerial View]’.
