A Melbourne-based artist and printmaker, Odin Strbac Low’s practice is deeply informed by an awareness of delicate ecosystems, with his works often investigating the intricate ecological web that humanity both shapes and inhabits. Working across printmaking, sculpture, and electronic sound synthesis, his practice is experimental in approach, moving between traditional and contemporary processes to reflectively explore our impact on the environment.
In ‘The Mirror’, Strbac Low uses the imagery of an antique mirror to merge the interior and exterior worlds. Captured in vibrant green tones, the scene feels both poignant and rich with metaphorical weight. Reflecting the artist’s ongoing exploration of humanity’s impact on the environment, the work considers the perceived division between the natural world and our own, ultimately suggesting that these two realms are inseparable.
An emerging contemporary printmaker, Odin Strbac Low has exhibited in several exhibitions across Melbourne, including his 2025 exhibition ‘Time and Again’ with the Print Council of Australia. In 2023, he was selected for the Colin Holden Print Commission at the Print Council of Australia and was a finalist in the Castlemaine Art Museum Experimental Print Prize. For collectors fascinated by the possibilities of contemporary printmaking, Strbac Low’s work offers an intriguing and distinctive discovery.
