A Melbourne-based artist and printmaker, Odin Strbac Low’s practice is deeply informed by an awareness of delicate ecosystems, with his works often investigating the intricate ecological web that humanity both shapes and inhabits. Working across printmaking, sculpture, and electronic sound synthesis, his practice is experimental in approach, moving between traditional and contemporary processes to reflectively explore our impact on the environment.
In ‘Time and Again I’, Strbac Low presents an impression of an abstract landscape, with the shape of the land accentuated by a silhouetted horizon line. Combining monoprinting with wax medium, the work is alive with visual depth, layered colour, and texture. Through affixing one layer of paper to another, frayed edges introduce an unexpected dimensionality, evoking the organic processes of erosion and transformation found throughout the natural world.
An emerging contemporary printmaker, Odin Strbac Low has exhibited in several exhibitions across Melbourne, including his 2025 exhibition ‘Time and Again’ with the Print Council of Australia. In 2023, he was selected for the Colin Holden Print Commission at the Print Council of Australia and was a finalist in the Castlemaine Art Museum Experimental Print Prize. For collectors fascinated by the possibilities of contemporary printmaking, Strbac Low’s work offers an intriguing and distinctive discovery.
