Ann Thomson is a Brisbane born, Sydney based artist known for her vibrant, expressive compositions. Thomson came to maturity at a time when abstract expressionism arrived in Australia. It influenced her teachers and immediate forerunners – Jon Molvig, Godfrey Miller, John Passmore and John Olsen. Often described as abstract, the artist rejects this label as her works are drawn from visual memories of places and things: "I might abstract something but I dont just paint shapes."
Published by Marnling Press, this original and powerful gestural abstract work of art promises to add a dynamic energy to your collection.
