Accomplished printmaker Joel Wolter’s work are reminders of transience. He is interested in the potency of a single moment — perhaps dusk or dawn, where in stillness the movement of time suddenly reveals itself.

‘Geelong Railway Station’ captures the city’s train station. Evocative of journeys, farewells and arrivals, it is a deceptively emotive work, refined yet poignant.
 
Represented at the Geelong Gallery, the State Library of Victoria, Parliament of Australia and Victorian College of the Arts, Wolter’s work strikes a chord with all who view it.
