Kathryn Zammit is a Melbourne-based artist whose paintings are infused with a vibrant sense of life and immediacy. Often completed in a single sitting, her works capture fleeting moments and quiet observations with clarity and balance. Using her signature style, Zammit transforms the familiar into something compelling.

In her 2026 painting 'The Swim', Zammit conjures an imaginative, fantastical scene. A woman swims serenely through a pond, surrounded by large koi fish, her figure floating through the water in a moment of quiet enchantment. There is something immediately ethereal about the scene, as though we have glimpsed a world suspended between reality and imagination.

For lovers and collectors of Australian contemporary painting, or those looking to add a small moment of joy to their collection, the works of Kathryn Zammit are jewels to discover.
