Well known for his hyper-realist style, Zavros produces works that often appear more lifelike than photographs - vivid recreations of life itself.

In his 2023 work 'Kiwi', this uncanny precision is on full display. In a pared-back composition, Zavros presents two flowers - one held in an ornate glass vase, the other freshly cut, its stem leaning freely. Together they occupy a liminal space that feels neither fully grounded nor resolved. This still life sits firmly within Zavros’ visual language, where constructed scenes seem to emerge equally from observed reality and imagination.

A prolific Australian artist, Zavros is represented in major public collections across Australia. He has held solo exhibitions nationally and internationally, and in 2023 was the subject of a retrospective at the Queensland Art Gallery of Modern Art.
