Jennifer Huang

Jennifer Huang is a Melbourne-based artist, best known for her intimate still life oil paintings. Drawing on Chinese visual culture and a deep interest in European Old Masters, Huang’s works often possess an atmospheric tenderness, created through a muted colour palette and soft ambient light.

Studying at the Rob Gutteridge School of Classical Realism between 2020 and 2022, Huang travelled to France in 2024, where she completed intensive training at the Studio Escalier. She currently teaches painting and drawing classes at Victorian Artists Society.

Huang has been a finalist in numerous art prizes, including the Naked & Nude Art Prize (2025), the A.M.E Bale Travelling Scholarship and Art Prize (2025) and the Acland St Traders People Award Winner for the annual Linden Postcard Show at Linden New Art (2023). She has exhibited in galleries across Australia, most recently with the Victorian Artist’s Society in 2025, following her time as a Hansen Little Coterie resident artist.
