Frank Hodgkinson
B. 1919 - 2001
Frank Hodgkinson was born in Sydney, Australia. A notable printmaker, painter and draughtsman, his work is celebrated for its unique perception of the Australian landscape. Rich, sensuous and organic, he often merges landscape and figure.
Hodgkinson served in WWII and in 1958, won the inaugural Helena Rubenstein Travelling Art Scholarship. Today, his work is represented across Australian collections, most notably in the Australian Art collection at the National Gallery of Australia, Canberra.
