A Macedonian/Australian contemporary artist, Violeta Capovska works across mediums – printmaking, installation, performance, photography, video and textiles. In her elegant, often abstract configuration, she draws out her cross-cultural experiences of identity, as well as philosophies of nature and gender. 

Capovska is represented internationally at the National Gallery of Macedonia, Museum of City Skope and Museum of Contemporary Art, Skopje. Nationally, she has been collected by the National Gallery of Australia, Canberra. In 2016, Capovska was a recipient of the James Northfield Lithography scholarship and in 2021 won an art residency at the Cite International in Paris.
