Based in Western Australia, John Cullinane works across figurative and abstract painting and drawing. Taking inspiration from media, books, stories and the world around him, his work trades in the humorous, wistful and thought-provoking, inviting the viewer on a journey that crosses the mundane and mythical. 

Cullinane’s work is represented across public collections including at the National Gallery of Australia, Art Gallery of Western Australia, Parliament House as well as numerous tertiary and council galleries.
